Drew McManigle has over twenty years of experience as a business executive and as a specialist in corporate renewal, business restructuring and bankruptcy. Since founding the Firm in 1993, Drew has been engaged to fulfill a variety of responsible roles including: serving as an interim CEO, independent director, crisis manager and a fiduciary of trusts established for the benefit of creditors. Bankruptcy Courts have appointed him as an operating chapter 11 trustee and liquidating agent. State Courts have appointed him as a Receiver, as have Courts in the British Virgin Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Drew’s blend of experience and focus has been applied in a broad range of industries, including energy, health care, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Drew has successfully addressed a variety of business and risk management issues from operational effectiveness, financial responsibility and client service to negotiation of collective bargaining agreements and remediation of sites with environmental hazards.
As an adjunct to Drew’s responsibilities as an operating officer or fiduciary, he has addressed and directed complex litigation at both the Federal and State levels, including providing expert testimony. Examples include: managing preference recoveries, fraudulent transfer litigation and similar administrative law litigation. Drew has also successfully directed complex offshore litigation, asset recovery litigation in Switzerland and participated in binding mediation proceedings.
Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from the University of Houston. He has been a speaker at professional crisis management events including The State Bar of Texas Advanced Business Bankruptcy Seminar. He has had articles published by both the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Cracking the Code website and by INSOL WORLD the newsletter of Insol International .
